In partnership with the Harris County Public Library System, Apollo’s expansive community outreach project brings live, culturally relevant musical experiences to the Greater Houston Area.
Started on October 14, 2021 at the Katy Branch Library and extending over seasons 2021-2024, Apollo presents programs at all 26 HCPL branches, each specifically curated in conjunction with library programming, focus and celebrations. Black History, Juneteenth, Hispanic, Asian, Native American and PRIDE Month programming were highlighted at library branches around Houston and Harris County. Thanks to this partnership with HCPL, Apollo has the opportunity to reach new and diverse communities.
These accessible and FREE programs feature Apollo commissions and arrangements and special guests, curated to reflect the heartbeat of Houston’s global community.
