In partnership with the Harris County Public Library System, Apollo’s expansive community outreach project brings live, culturally relevant musical experiences to the Greater Houston Area reflecting the heartbeat of our vibrant community.
After four years, we’ve arrived at the end of this voyage of free, multicultural programs at all twenty-six Harris County Public Library branches. On this journey we’ve reached thousands of listeners of all ages and backgrounds, including many experiencing the joy and intimacy of chamber music for the first time. We’ve also covered a lot of ground! Harris County is geographically larger than the states of Delaware and New Jersey; we estimate our total mileage to be over two thousand miles traveled.
We thank Harris County Public Library and their incredible staff for their collaborative spirit and hard work, and to those that have joined us along the way. Be sure to catch the final Chapters of this project, along with a STELLAR conclusion at Space Center Houston! LIBRARY VOYAGE generously supported by the Houston Endowment, the Brown Foundation, and Candice and Roger Moore.
